LWV Richardson will sponsor a candidate forum for Texas House District 102 on October 8, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. We had also planned to sponsor a forum for District 112, but the Republican incumbent, Rep. Angie Chen Button, declined to participate. According to LWV policy, the District 112 candidate forum was canceled. Click here for more information.

The City Council selected three finalists for the vacant Place 3 position at its meeting on Monday, Sept. 14. The three candidates will be interviewed in an open and recorded meeting on Monday, Sept. 21. Following the interviews, a lone finalist will be named. The new council member is expected to be appointed Sept. 28.

The three finalists are Daniel Evan Burdette, Jeffrey Alan Davis, and Jordan Raymond Noret. To see the schedule for the entire appointment process, go to the City of Richardson website.
