May 26, 2026 Primary Runoff Election

Winners of the May 26 Primary Runoff elections, along with winners from the March 3 Primary, will represent their party on the November 3rd General Election ballot.

Both parties have very important statewide races that will be on every Texan’s ballot for the May 26 Primary Runoff election:   

Republican Party
U.S. Senate
Texas Attorney General
Texas Railroad Commissioner
Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 3

Democratic Party
Texas Lieutenant Governor
Texas Attorney General

Richardson voters who live in Dallas County will see additional races on their ballot.  Richardson voters who live in Collin County have no other races to be decided. To see the exact races and candidates that will be on YOUR ballot, see the Sample Ballots tab or visit www.VOTE411.org.

Who may vote in the May 26 Primary Runoff Elections?
  • If you voted in the March 3 Republican Primary, you may vote in the Republican Runoff.
  • If you voted in the March 3 Democratic Primary, you may vote in the Democratic Runoff.
  • If you are a registered Texas voter but did not vote in the March 3 Primaries (and did not attend a minor party convention to choose a candidate), you may vote in either the Republican or Democratic Runoff.

Dallas County

Collin County


To view your sample ballot in Collin County, you will need your precinct number.  You can find it on your voter registration card, or you can look it up here.

Sample ballots are available here. There are separate ballots for the Republican and Democratic Party runoff elections.  You may need to scroll down the page to find the links to both.


Dallas County

Registered voters in  Dallas County may vote in any Early Vote Center in Dallas County at the following times:

Collin County

Registered voters in  Collin County may vote in any Early Vote Center in Collin County at the following times:

If you are in line to vote by the time the polls close, you will be allowed to vote.
Voting on Election Day is 7am – 7pm. Registered voters in both Dallas and Collin Counties may vote at any Election Day vote center in their county of residence.

If you are in line to vote by 7pm, you will be allowed to vote.

General information about Voting by Mail can be found here at the Texas Secretary of State’s website

The Application for Ballot By Mail (ABBM), requires that you list one of 2 numbers:
  1. Texas Driver’s License (TX DL), Texas Identification (TX ID) Card, OR Election Identification Certificate (EIC) number;
  2. Last four digits of your Social Security Number
When filling out your Application for Ballot By Mail (ABBM), we recommend listing BOTH numbers if you know them.


Dallas County

Collin County

The League of Women Voters online Voters Guide is available at VOTE411.org. At that website:
  • Enter your address.
  • View a personalized Voters Guide that will include only the races and candidates that will be on your ballot. You can view opposing candidates’ responses to questions on the issues side-by-side.
  • For races involving candidates in a contested race, the candidates have been asked questions by LWV.  All candidates in the same race were asked the same questions.  The candidates themselves typed in any responses.  Some candidates may have chosen not to participate.
Printed Voters Guides that give the dates/times/places of Early Voting and Election Day Voting in Collin County and Dallas County are available at:
  • The Richardson League’s office:  300 N. Coit Road, Suite 125, Richardson 75080 (in the main Promenade Tower, Floor A (the lowest floor)).  The office is not staffed.  Voters Guides will be in a holder on the door.

Printable copies of the League of Women Voters of Collin County’s Voters Guides will be available on their website.
